CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) is the world’s largest and leading professional body of management accountants. They have 172,000 members and students in 165 countries. Their members and students work in industry, commerce and not for profit organisations.
They constantly update the qualification, professional experience requirements and CPD programme. This ensures that the members and students are first choice for employers who are recruiting financially trained business leaders.
As part of this approach, Innergy were asked to develop and run an interactive programme for its members on how Management Accountants can increase the influence and reputation of their Finance department and themselves within their organisation.
Innergy created a bespoke online leadership assessment survey for all the programme delegates. The outcome of this shaped the design of the highly interactive session looking at how great leaders increase their influence through improved planning techniques, understanding their internal customers’ needs and recognising the strengths and weaknesses in both themselves and the people they work with.
The interactive and energetic nature of the programme was welcomed by all delegates. With a focus of challenging delegates to apply what was relevant in their roles, everyone took away some proven and practical tools to use in their business straight away. They also had the opportunity to share and hear approaches used by other delegates.
The feedback from the programme was very positive, with many delegates enquiring about developing their leadership and management skills still further with Innergy’s award winning “Extraordinary Leadership Programme”.
As part of the effort to understand the engagement of the internal customers, Innergy supported the delegates by providing a complimentary online customer engagement survey to assess their Finance team’s reputation internally.
What they said..
