Innergy on the big dig with DWF!

Innergy on the big dig with DWF!

Posted: Aug 22, 2010

Innergy client DWF is living its values and is helping build a new ARC (Agricultural and Rural Centre) for children or adults with forms of disability south of Manchester. Innergy are running Leadership and Management Development programs within DWF and delegates from the program will be applying the leadership lessons learnt from the program (planning, teambuilding, communication, delegation etc) as they manage large teams from within DWF and groups of young people to prepare the site before the builders arrive in September.

The result of this Community Project which has been in the planning for 2 years will be a centre that provides access to a sensory garden, animals (alpacas and Welsh Ponies) and horticultural areas.

Innergy’s Gordon Stoddart, who joined the dig on August 13th says

“This is a great opportunity for the delegates to apply the lessons learnt from the leadership program and we were delighted when DWF agreed to support the initiative, which is in line with one of their core values – caring for the community. The delegates will be under significant pressure to deliver results in a pressurised environment, managing resources and will inevitably be faced with challenges and unforeseeable hurdles to overcome during the course of the project.

The result will be an exciting community project which will hopefully provide a great deal of pleasure to a lot of people. I am very much looking forward to being involved, getting dirty and seeing a really worthwhile project move forward. Applying the leadership lessons learnt will be a great experience for all the delegates”
